Lot's of people have figured this out, but just to clarify...
For product supplied on Tape & Reel, Digi-Key has 3 "packaging types" per manufacturer part number. Each of these packaging types corresponds to a Digi-Key part number (a better name might be ordering code). Cut-Tape Digi-Key PNs (often, but not always, ending in -1-ND or CT-ND) and Digi-Reel PNs (ending in DKR-ND or -5-ND) will always show the maximum amount available.
Example: If there is 3000 available in a full uncut TR and 1493 available on a reel that has been cut down (CT), the total amount shown on the CT page will be 4493, and the total shown on the TR page will be 3000. Do not look at the CT page and see 4493 and then look at the TR page with 3000 and assume there are 7493 available, this is incorrect. The Digi-Key Stock amount is simply the quantity available to someone wanting to purchase using a given order code.
As a slight twist, tubes and other product not derived from TR that correspond to the same manufacturer PN are not included in any of these totals and have a completely independent quantity available number. CT, TR, DKR, Tube, and all other paging types will be listed on their siblings' detail pages under the Alternate Package heading.
